Senior Construction Engineer

About the role

AGIKONS, a leading Albanian construction company, is hiring a qualified individual for its Technical Department as a Construction Engineer. The engineer provides technical support throughout all phases of construction, in line with the project, preventive and technical specifications, to maintain standards and facilitate certification of works up to handover.

Key responsibilities

• Gather and obtain all information needed to implement the project according to the contractor's contracts.
• Review and interpret drawings and project specifications to ensure technical execution.
• Work with the team on the technical and legal and technical-financial documentation until final handover.
• Perform many on-site engineering tasks, including monitoring, technical assessment of work in progress and solving on-site construction issues.
• Ensure all works within his scope meet quality standards and carry out regular tests and inspections.
• Ensure the assigned staff follow safe work practices and industry safety standards.
• Monitor construction hours and help assess progress; keep a daily register of construction phases and engineering data for project reports.
• Prepare schedules, monthly situations, action plans and similar documents, solve technical problems and coordinate their implementation.
• Report to the Chief Engineer.

Required profile

• Degree in Construction Engineering.
• At least 3 years of previous work experience.
• Very good communication and management skills.
• Very good knowledge of reading and applying projects.

Required skills

• Good command of the AUTOCAD program.
• Knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite.
