Geodetic Engineer

About the role

Kontakt AL, a construction and civil infrastructure company founded in 1999 and based in Tirana, is hiring a full-time, on-site Geodetic Engineer. The engineer carries out land and construction site surveys, prepares precise geodetic measurements and supports the design and execution of civil and structural projects.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct land and construction site surveys and prepare precise geodetic measurements.
• Set out and check coordinates and elevations, and operate total stations and related instruments.
• Validate survey data for use in engineering drawings and models.
• Collaborate with civil engineers, site managers and design teams to ensure accurate geospatial information.
• Assist in monitoring structural deformations and site conditions.
• Contribute to project documentation and reporting, and apply GIS tools where needed.
• Adhere to safety and quality standards and support continuous improvement in surveying practice.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Geodesy, Geomatics, Civil Engineering or a related technical field.
• Background in Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline, with understanding of structural and infrastructure design requirements.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, topographic maps and engineering specifications.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and numerical skills, with attention to detail and data accuracy.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with multidisciplinary site and office teams.
• Previous experience in construction, infrastructure or industrial projects in a similar role is preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency in land surveying and geodetic measurements, including field data collection.
• Hands-on experience with Total Station and related surveying instruments.
• Knowledge of Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
• Familiarity with geodetic and construction software such as CAD and surveying data processing tools is an advantage.
