Construction Site Engineer – Building Project

About the role

A.I.C SHPK, part of the construction and investment sector since 2014, is hiring a Construction Site Engineer for a building project in Tirana. The engineer plans, organises, coordinates and controls all on-site work from foundation to final handover, reporting directly to the Technical Director.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily construction work so it follows technical drawings, specifications and standards
• Organise and coordinate work from excavation and foundations through concrete structures, architectural works, installations and finishing
• Prepare and monitor the work schedule within the agreed deadlines
• Check materials and completed works for quality
• Coordinate subcontractors, work teams, designers and inspectors
• Prepare and verify progress reports, schedules, measurement books and technical documentation
• Compare quantities on site with the contractual schedule and design, and solve technical problems
• Track design changes and prepare As-Built documentation
• Organise final inspections, record defects and coordinate corrections until handover
• Prepare final documentation and take part in the commissioning and handover to the investor

Required profile

• Diploma in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering or Hydraulic Engineering
• At least 5 years of experience in civil works (construction and finishing)
• Documented experience supervising at least two projects from start to completion
• Good verbal and written communication, report writing and presentation skills
• Knowledge of foreign languages, especially English, is an advantage; training and certifications are preferred

• Reading, analysing and explaining technical drawings, business correspondence, contracts, procedures and manuals

• CAD, Excel, MS Project and Revit
