UK Payroll Consultant – Onsite in Tirana

About the role

We are seeking an experienced UK Payroll Consultant to join our Tirana office and lead a major payroll implementation for a large client. This client‑facing position blends deep UK payroll expertise with hands‑on system configuration, requiring you to work closely with senior stakeholders and technical teams.

Key responsibilities

• Gather and translate complex UK payroll and billing requirements into scalable, compliant solutions.
• Design, configure, and optimise payroll workflows, calculation rules, and process logic.
• Collaborate with client stakeholders to guide solution design, challenge assumptions, and ensure high‑quality outcomes.
• Support data migration, integration validation, and data‑quality initiatives.
• Troubleshoot complex payroll issues, conduct thorough testing, and assist with system deployments.
• Maintain system access, security settings, and data confidentiality controls.
• Build and maintain standard and ad‑hoc reports and dashboards.

Required profile

• Solid understanding of UK payroll legislation, PAYE, RTI, statutory payments and HMRC obligations.
• Hands‑on experience with UK payroll processes in an in‑house or consulting environment.
• Proven ability to engage confidently with UK‑based clients at operational and management levels.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with meticulous attention to financial accuracy.
• Comfortable collaborating with technical teams and documenting processes clearly.

Required skills

• UK payroll legislation knowledge (PAYE, RTI, SMP, SSP, SPP, HMRC).
• Payroll system configuration and optimisation.
• Data migration and integration validation.
• Testing and troubleshooting of payroll scenarios.
• Reporting and dashboard creation.
• Familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM/ERP platforms (training provided).
