Test Automation Engineer

About the role

Onera Health is looking for a Test Automation Engineer to design, develop and maintain automated tests across its software stack. You will work closely with software, system and R&D engineers to embed automated testing into the development lifecycle, ensuring high quality for regulated medical products.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automated test frameworks and test cases using Python and Selenium.
• Extend automated testing capabilities with Playwright.
• Design robust, reusable tests for web‑based applications and services.
• Collaborate with developers to understand architecture, features and failure modes.
• Identify opportunities to increase test coverage and improve automation effectiveness.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and development workflows.
• Analyse test failures, differentiate product defects from test/infrastructure issues and drive resolution.
• Contribute to test strategy definition and quality practices across R&D.
• Help establish reliable test environments and test data.
• Document test approaches, results and quality evidence in line with regulated processes.
• Continuously improve automation frameworks, tooling and ways of working.

Required profile

• Strong hands‑on experience with Python.
• Solid professional experience with Selenium and automated UI testing.
• Proven ability to design and maintain automated test frameworks.
• Good understanding of software testing principles, test design and automation.
• Experience working with Git and modern development workflows.
• Ability to analyse failures and debug issues across application and test code.
• Pragmatic, engineering‑oriented mindset with a strong focus on software quality.
