Software Architect (AdTech)

About the role

Sigma Software's AdTech Business Unit is looking for a Software Architect to design scalable AdTech architectures and distributed cloud platforms. The role drives architectural decisions, works with engineering teams, customers and business stakeholders, and supports pre-sales activities. It is based in Tirana, Albania, and remote or hybrid cooperation can be discussed depending on location.

Key responsibilities

• Define and drive the architecture of scalable AdTech solutions and distributed cloud platforms across multiple initiatives
• Own architectural decisions and set technical direction aligned with business objectives and product strategy
• Lead technical discovery, architecture assessments and solution design, translating business needs into secure, future-proof solutions
• Drive technical pre-sales: customer presentations, architecture workshops, solution proposals, estimations and PoCs
• Showcase AdTech expertise to prospective clients, advise on expanding existing accounts and establish architectural standards and governance
• Guide engineering teams on implementation, scalability, performance and distributed systems design
• Evaluate emerging technologies such as AI-driven solutions and mentor engineers

Required profile

• At least 7 years of commercial software development experience
• Minimum 3 years in architecture or technical leadership roles
• Proven experience designing high-load, low-latency distributed systems and cloud-native architectures
• Experience in customer-facing technical consulting and pre-sales
• Upper-intermediate English; strong communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills
• Plus: AdTech domain experience, knowledge of SSPs, DSPs, OpenRTB, Prebid, VAST, GDPR/CCPA and privacy-first architectures

• Hands-on expertise in at least two of: Golang, Rust, Node.js, C++
• Docker, Kubernetes, Helm
• AWS, GCP or Azure production environments
• REST APIs, gRPC, WebSockets, Kafka, Kinesis or Pub/Sub
• Microservices, messaging, caching and API design
