Senior Analytics Engineer (Semantic Layer)

About the role

Join a project focused on building an AI‑first semantic layer that standardises business metrics across dashboards, reporting systems and AI‑driven applications. You will work with cross‑functional stakeholders and engineering teams to turn raw data into trusted, governed business meaning.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable semantic modelling approaches for enterprise analytics.
• Build canonical analytical models on top of the core data platform and govern business metrics with Finance, Product, Ad Operations and other stakeholders.
• Develop reusable semantic models consumable by BI tools, analytical products and AI agents, and maintain documentation, metadata and lineage.
• Implement automated testing for metrics, transformations and business rules, and reconcile critical metrics across operational, reporting and financial systems.

Required profile

• At least 5 years of experience in analytics engineering or data engineering.
• Strong analytical mindset, detail‑oriented approach to data quality and proactive communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment and ownership mindset for long‑term scalability.

Required skills

• Advanced SQL.
• Experience with dbt or similar modern data transformation frameworks.
• Knowledge of dimensional, canonical and semantic modelling concepts.
• Experience building production‑grade BI solutions and collaborating with non‑technical stakeholders.
