Social Media Specialist

About the role

The Social Media Specialist will support the Marketing & PR department by planning, creating and executing social media strategies that align with the brand’s communication objectives. This role involves managing content across multiple platforms, analysing performance data and collaborating with internal and external partners to enhance brand awareness.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement social media strategies for platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok and paid channels.
• Produce, schedule and optimise content, ensuring consistency with campaign design and messaging.
• Analyse monthly performance data and insights to inform future campaigns.
• Collaborate with brand teams, digital agencies and influencers to update product information and execute plans.
• Manage community engagement, monitor brand consistency and respond to feedback in a timely manner.
• Track competitor activity and include findings in monthly reports.
• Maintain documentation for all purchases and services related to social media activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or a related field.
• 1‑2 years of experience in digital media, including social media, email and content marketing.
• Strong attention to detail, ability to meet deadlines and effective communication skills.
• Fast learner who can adapt techniques based on project requirements.

Required skills

• Graphic design, web design and video production.
• Working knowledge of HTML and CSS.
• Proficiency with Photoshop, InDesign and similar design software.
• Experience using Google Analytics and other tracking/reporting tools.
• Familiarity with SEO best practices.
