Junior PHP Developer Laravel (m/f/d) - Prishtina

About the role

A growing digital transformation and software development company is hiring a Junior PHP Developer in Prishtina, Kosovo. The team works on real customer and internal projects, from custom business applications and customer portals to process automation, integrations and AI-powered solutions. The role suits someone with a solid foundation and about one year of practical experience who wants to learn from experienced developers and gradually take ownership of features.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain web applications with PHP and Laravel
• Implement new features from technical requirements and user stories
• Build and integrate REST APIs and work with relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL
• Fix bugs and improve existing application functionality
• Write clean, maintainable code and support automated tests
• Take part in code reviews, use Git-based workflows and collaborate with frontend developers, project managers and others
• Document work and keep tasks up to date; take on more responsibility as skills grow
• Depending on the project, may also use Vue.js, JavaScript, Docker, queues, third-party APIs and automation platforms

Required profile

• About one year of practical PHP development experience
• Laravel experience on professional, university, freelance or personal projects
• Object-oriented programming fundamentals, database and SQL experience, and basics of REST APIs and web architecture
• Basic Git experience and ability to complete clearly defined tasks independently
• Excellent English at C1 or C2 level
• Based in or near Prishtina and able to work in a hybrid setup
• University degree is welcome but not required
