Scaffold Journeyman – Various Locations

About the role

Yates Industrial is seeking experienced Scaffold Journeymen to work on multiple project sites. The role involves erecting, maintaining, and dismantling scaffolding systems in heavy‑industrial environments while adhering to safety standards and company values.

Key responsibilities

• Erect and dismantle wooden and metal scaffolding according to drawings, blueprints, and Yates standards.
• Inspect, sort, load, and unload scaffold components and related equipment.
• Set up hoisting equipment, select appropriate cables, pulleys, and winches, and operate rope and harness systems.
• Assemble scaffolding using hand and power tools, bolt or screw sections, and verify alignment with plumb bobs and levels.
• Cut, trim, or drill components for fit and fabricate/repair rigging such as slings and tackle.
• Follow Yates Core Values, Code of Conduct, and all safety procedures; report incidents and participate in safety meetings.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by field supervision.

Required profile

• Four or more years of heavy‑industrial scaffold experience (Level III or equivalent).
• NCCER Scaffold Journeyman certification (Level II) or comparable verification.
• Ability to read ISO standards, blueprints, P&IDs, and interpret work instructions independently.
• Successful completion of required safety training and possession of personal hand tools as per Yates Minimum Tool List.
