Pre‑Commissioning Manager – EPC Projects

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Pre‑Commissioning Manager to lead the planning, coordination and execution of pre‑commissioning activities for our Metering & Pressure Reduction Station project in Fier, Albania. The role is site‑based and reports to the project management team, ensuring all activities meet technical standards, client expectations and project schedules.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement the pre‑commissioning strategy, procedures and method statements for client approval.
• Lead and coordinate all pre‑commissioning tasks by system and subsystem, guaranteeing readiness for Mechanical Completion and hand‑over.
• Manage resources, tools and subcontractors, overseeing execution and compliance with specifications and timelines.
• Supervise testing and validation activities, including functional testing of equipment, piping and instrumentation.
• Monitor progress, punch‑list items and close‑out activities to ensure timely turnover to commissioning.
• Interface with the client and stakeholders during site walkthroughs, SIMOPS, permits and partial hand‑over.
• Prepare Mechanical Completion dossiers with full traceability of tests, inspections and activities.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical background.
• 10+ years of pre‑commissioning experience in gas plants, compressor stations or similar facilities, with managerial responsibility.
• Proven experience in EPC projects and completion/turn‑over processes.
• Strong knowledge of piping systems, flushing, hydro‑testing and leak testing.
• Solid understanding of instrumentation, electrical systems and control systems.
• Familiarity with international codes such as ASME B31.3, PED and DVGW.
• Fluency in English (minimum B2); knowledge of Albanian or Italian is a plus.
