Operational Risk and Compliance Manager

About the role

ECFA, a microcredit financial institution offering modern consumer credit without collateral, is expanding its team and is looking for an experienced professional to play a key role in operational risk, compliance and internal control. The role goes beyond monitoring risk: you will help shape the processes, controls and standards of a developing financial institution.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor, assess and report risks, controls and compliance with policies, procedures and legal/regulatory requirements
• Identify problems and root causes, recommend corrective actions and lead initiatives to improve, automate and streamline processes
• Manage the PPP/FT framework, monitor customers and transactions at risk, support fraud prevention and ensure transparency towards clients
• Coordinate internally with business units and regulators, and handle complaints and issues related to risk and compliance

Required profile

• University degree, preferably a master's degree, with 4-5 years of experience in banking or microfinance, including at least 2 years in a managerial role
• Advanced knowledge of risk, compliance, the regulatory framework and the Albanian microfinance sector
• Analytical, decision-making and problem-solving skills, with strong leadership, integrity and communication abilities
