Tax Accountant

About the role

LMC is seeking a motivated Tax Accountant to join its Tirana office. You will work in a collaborative, team‑oriented environment, handling a variety of tax assignments for US‑based clients.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and submit simple to complex US tax returns for diverse clients.
• Audit tax forms for completeness and accuracy, ensuring compliance with government regulations.
• Provide future tax planning and analyze client data to maximize outcomes.
• Research new tax trends and regulations.
• Train and mentor tax interns and support team development.
• Communicate status and issues with seniors, supervisors, managers and partners.

Required profile

• 1‑3 years of experience as a US Tax Preparer or similar role.
• Master's degree in Accounting or related field; Masters in Taxation a plus.
• CPA or ACCA preferred.
• Proficient English with strong written and spoken communication.
• Excellent analytical, mathematical and research abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments, meet deadlines and handle confidential information.

Required skills

• Knowledge of US tax preparation software (CCH ProSystem, Axcess, Document).
• Advanced MS Office skills, especially Excel.
