Strategy and Transactions Assistant

About the role

EY is looking for a Strategy and Transactions Assistant to join a team of financial due diligence and valuation professionals. You will work on projects across a range of sectors, helping to identify key value drivers, challenge assumptions about future performance, find hidden deal breakers and opportunities, and work with other EY service teams to deliver an integrated approach to clients before, during and after transactions.

Key responsibilities

• Perform financial due diligence and analyse the operational results of target businesses by reviewing financial statements, accounting records, key agreements and management information, and conducting interviews
• Prepare and evaluate pro forma financial information and carry out comprehensive financial analysis
• Identify areas for purchase price adjustments and recommend solutions to key financial and business issues
• Carry out financial modelling for strategic planning, capital allocation, transaction support, investment appraisal, financial planning and reporting, and provide clients with modelling solutions, data analytics and analysis
• Assist in preparing client deliverables such as reports, data books and other transaction documents in Albanian and English
• Receive regular feedback, take part in learning and development, build external and internal relationships, and coach and counsel junior team members
• Work as a team member, share responsibility, maintain communication and update senior team members on progress

Required profile

• University degree in finance, corporate finance, business administration, accounting or economics
• Advanced English; proficiency in other languages is an advantage
• Strong work initiative, high energy and ability to adapt to new challenges

Required skills

• Proficient use of Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
• Good accounting knowledge of IFRS
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
