General Ledger Accountant

About the role

AUTO1 Group, a European platform for the used car sector active in more than 30 countries, is looking for a General Ledger Accountant at its headquarters in Tirana. The role oversees general ledger operations, ensures accurate financial records in Oracle, prepares monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and closings, and supports their preparation in line with local accounting standards.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the invoicing process, ensuring accuracy and resolving complex issues
• Process and record all general ledger business transactions
• Prepare financial statements in accordance with local accounting standards
• Perform periodic reconciliations of general ledger accounts, bank accounts and intercompany transactions and balances
• Manage local fixed asset and accounts receivable accounting
• Prepare reports for the Central Statistical Office
• Ensure the accuracy and consistency of accounting records and support timely financial closing

Required profile

• At least 2 years of experience as an accountant, including experience preparing financial statements
• Very good written and spoken English (minimum B2)
• Strong analytical skills, proactive approach and ability to work in a team
• Independent, organised, reliable and detail-oriented working style

Required skills

• Very good knowledge of MS Excel
• Knowledge of Oracle is an advantage, as is knowledge of other ERP systems
