Legal Specialist – Higher Education

About the role

The University seeks a Legal Specialist to support its academic and administrative units. This role ensures that all contractual, regulatory, and policy matters comply with Albanian law and internal university standards, contributing to a legally sound environment for teaching and research.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain communication and coordination with external counsel and law firms engaged by the University.
• Review, draft, and monitor contracts, agreements, internal regulations, and other legal documents.
• Provide legal advice to university departments on contractual, administrative, and regulatory issues.
• Update institutional practices to reflect new legal and regulatory developments.
• Draft and follow up on official communications with agencies and authorities.
• Assist in monitoring legal cases, attend hearings or court sessions, and report outcomes.
• Perform other duties related to the position as required.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in law.
• 2–5 years of professional legal experience.
• Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to collaborate with academic and administrative staff.
• Commitment to continuous professional development, especially in quality assurance.
