Junior Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Specialist

About the role

The Junior ESG Specialist will support the implementation and monitoring of BALFIN Group's ESG Framework and Environmental and Social Management System (ESMS) across its companies and projects. This entry‑level position offers hands‑on exposure to ESG and E&S practices, helping the candidate develop practical expertise in risk management, data collection, and sustainability reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in implementing, monitoring and improving the Group ESG Framework and ESMS.
• Support environmental and social due diligence for investments, acquisitions, and development projects.
• Prepare and review E&S assessments, management plans, monitoring reports and action plans.
• Monitor E&S risks, mitigation measures, commitments and corrective actions.
• Support site monitoring of environmental, social, OHS and community health and safety matters.
• Coordinate stakeholder engagement, public consultations and ESG follow‑up with Group companies, project teams, consultants and contractors.
• Collect, consolidate and maintain ESG data, KPIs, databases and action trackers.
• Prepare materials for ESG Committee reporting, the Group Annual Report and other corporate disclosures.
• Develop and update ESG guidelines, procedures, checklists and templates.
• Research ESG regulations, international standards, sustainability trends and benchmark best practices.
• Prepare ESG presentations, training materials and internal communications.

Required profile

• Junior professional with a strong interest in ESG, sustainability and environmental/social risk management.
• Willingness to learn and develop expertise in ESMS implementation, ESG monitoring and reporting.
• Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams, external consultants and stakeholders.
