Senior Site Reliability Engineer / Kubernetes (Remote)

About the role

Pragmatike is looking for a senior Site Reliability Engineer to lead the design, deployment, and operation of Kubernetes‑based platforms across bare‑metal, virtualized and on‑premise environments. You will work remotely within the EU timezone, collaborating with cross‑functional teams to ensure high availability, performance, and security of our cloud computing solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and maintain Linux (Debian/Ubuntu) infrastructure and manage full Kubernetes cluster lifecycles.
• Design and implement networking architecture, including VLANs, L2/L3 routing, VPNs, and multi‑site connectivity.
• Automate provisioning and operations using Ansible, Bash/Python scripts, and GitOps workflows.
• Build and maintain observability stacks such as Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, ELK, and Graylog.
• Lead incident response, define SLOs/SLIs, and optimize alerting pipelines.
• Develop SOPs, on‑call schedules, and coordinate physical maintenance for data‑center operations.
• Manage virtualization layers (OpenStack, Proxmox, VMware) and bare‑metal provisioning tools like MAAS.
• Collaborate with development, customer success, and other stakeholder teams to improve system quality and resource utilization.

Required profile

• Expert‑level, hands‑on experience operating Kubernetes in production.
• Strong network engineering background with proven ability to design complex network solutions.
• Deep Linux systems administration expertise (Debian/Ubuntu).
• Proven track record of building automation workflows and observability solutions.
• Experience with virtualization technologies and bare‑metal provisioning.
