Senior Mail Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Mail Engineer to join the Workplace Services Engineering team at SD Worx. You will be responsible for the design, security and operational excellence of the company’s enterprise messaging platform that supports more than 10,000 employees worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Manage, maintain and continuously improve the enterprise mail infrastructure for an international workforce.
• Operate and optimise Microsoft 365 and Exchange Online services, including mail flow, connectors and transport rules.
• Enhance mail security using SPF, DKIM, DMARC, TLS, secure SMTP and related authentication technologies.
• Administer anti‑spam, anti‑phishing, malware protection and secure email gateway solutions.
• Support and optimise bulk communication and mass‑mailing platforms to ensure high deliverability and sender reputation.
• Provide third‑line support for complex delivery, routing, authentication and security incidents.
• Collaborate with product owners, security, infrastructure and vendor teams to improve reliability and security.
• Participate in projects, migrations, upgrades and roadmap planning for enterprise messaging.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, procedures and hand‑over materials.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience with enterprise messaging platforms and mail infrastructure.
• Strong hands‑on experience administering Microsoft 365 and Exchange Online.
• Solid understanding of mail flow, connectors, transport rules and hybrid messaging environments.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex mail delivery, routing and authentication issues.
