Senior Software Architect

About the role

Victoria Venture Capital sh.p.k. is seeking a Senior Software Architect to lead the design and evolution of its platform ecosystem. This full‑time hybrid position is based in Tirana and offers flexibility to work partially from home while collaborating closely with portfolio companies and internal engineering teams.

Key responsibilities

• Define and maintain the overall platform architecture, selecting technologies, frameworks, and integration patterns.
• Collaborate with development teams on solution design, code reviews, and implementation guidance.
• Ensure architectural decisions meet performance, scalability, security, and reliability requirements.
• Create and maintain architectural documentation, coding standards, and design guidelines.
• Mentor developers on best practices and architectural principles.
• Participate in roadmap planning, evaluate new tools and technologies, and translate business needs into technical solutions.

Required profile

• Proven experience in software architecture and design of scalable, modular platforms.
• Strong programming background with hands‑on experience in at least one modern language such as Java, C#, or Python.
• Deep understanding of design patterns, micro‑services, APIs, and distributed systems.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and a solid grasp of security, performance, and reliability considerations.
• Excellent technical documentation skills and ability to communicate complex concepts to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
