Automation Engineer – Build Internal & Client Automation

About the role

As an Automation Engineer you will create the tools that eliminate manual work for both our clients and our own studio. You will design, build and hand over scripts, agents and integrations that make processes run themselves, while also gaining deep visibility into the business’s financial flows.

Key responsibilities

• Map how work and money move through the studio and client projects.
• Identify and eliminate manual loops, starting with internal processes.
• Take ownership of the monthly reporting pack and automate its generation.
• Design, build, test and hand over automation solutions for clients, including scripts, agents and tool integrations.
• Develop and maintain internal systems that connect accounting, CRM, banking, Drive and task‑management tools.
• Instrument business metrics such as cash position, utilisation, days‑to‑payment and project profitability.
• Turn internal tools into reusable products that can be sold to clients.

Required profile

• Enjoy building scripts, small services and integrations, and can work with AI agents as a standard tool.
• Strong interest in finance‑related data – invoices, margins, cash‑flow and unit economics.
• Very precise about correctness; you test, reconcile and check edge cases.
• Self‑starter who spots inefficient manual work and fixes it without a predefined backlog.
• Clear communicator able to explain technical solutions to founders, accountants or administrators.
• Fluent English; French is a plus.
• Open to candidates with 1–3 years of relevant experience.

• Basic frontend for simple user interfaces
• Use of AI agents for automation tasks
