SQL Server Database Administrator – Fully Remote

About the role

We are looking for an experienced SQL Server Database Administrator to join a remote project and support the administration, optimization and reliability of Microsoft SQL Server databases in enterprise environments.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and manage Microsoft SQL Server databases in enterprise environments.
• Perform SQL Server installation, configuration, upgrades and patching.
• Monitor database performance and ensure high availability, stability and reliability.
• Perform performance tuning and query optimization to improve database efficiency.
• Monitor and troubleshoot database performance and operational issues.
• Support SQL Server database migrations and consolidation projects.
• Manage database maintenance activities, backups and recovery procedures.
• Collaborate with development, infrastructure and DevOps teams to support enterprise applications.
• Contribute to database security, performance and overall system reliability.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a SQL Server Database Administrator / SQL Server DBA.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Microsoft SQL Server administration.
• Experience with SQL Server installation, configuration, upgrades and patching.
• Strong knowledge of performance tuning, monitoring and query optimization.
• Practical experience with database migrations and consolidation.
• Good knowledge of T‑SQL and relational databases.
• Experience with backup, restore and database maintenance procedures.
• Good troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work independently in enterprise environments.
