Retail Accountant / Finance Officer

About the role

An organisation is looking for an organised, careful and results-oriented retail finance professional. You will manage and monitor financial processes, control transactions and prepare financial reports.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and monitor financial and accounting transactions
• Prepare and review financial reports
• Perform bank, cash and sales reconciliations
• Monitor income, expenses, payments and liabilities
• Check financial data and identify discrepancies
• Support budgeting, planning and financial analysis
• Keep financial documentation organised and up to date
• Work with other departments on financial processes and assist with audits and controls when needed

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics or a related field
• At least 2 years of professional experience in finance or accounting
• Good knowledge of financial and accounting processes
• Good analytical, numerical and attention-to-detail skills
• Organisational, communication and teamwork skills
• Retail experience is an advantage
