Forward-Deployed Architect for Credit Analytics & ML Platforms

About the role

We are seeking a hands‑on Forward‑Deployed Engineering Architect to design and deliver a production‑grade credit analytics and machine‑learning platform for a regulated financial‑services business operating in the UK and Ireland. You will work closely with business and technology teams, owning architecture, contributing code, and guiding delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Translate business problems into scalable architecture, delivery plans and acceptance criteria.
• Design and build reproducible pipelines for data preparation, feature engineering, model training, validation, scoring and deployment.
• Establish versioning for code, data, models and calibration logic, and implement MLOps best practices.
• Strengthen the Snowflake‑backed analytics foundation, improve reliability, testing, permissions and integration with model outputs.
• Lead technical discussions, review code, unblock engineers and keep stakeholders informed of progress and risks.

Required profile

• Proven experience designing and delivering production data or ML systems beyond prototypes.
• Strong hands‑on Python and SQL skills with ability to investigate datasets and implement critical solution components.
• Practical MLOps experience: reproducible pipelines, model/data versioning, testing, deployment, monitoring and rollback.
• Ability to communicate technical trade‑offs clearly to non‑technical stakeholders and lead a small technical team.
