Test Lead - Software Quality Assurance

About the role

This Test Lead position sits within a team and community focused on ensuring that software development teams follow the Testing Methodology (SOP). The role covers both manual and automated testing, coordinates testers on a project and reports quality status to management.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with development teams to apply the testing methodology and ensure product quality at every stage.
• Continuously test solutions to detect bugs early, review design documentation for clear, unambiguous requirements, and define test plans and test cases.
• Execute tests, write test reports, report bugs and keep the defect tracking system up to date.
• Use quality and tracking tools such as Jira xray and TestLink to monitor progress.
• Maintain effective communication with projects and development teams.
• Ensure automated tests integrate with continuous integration and delivery, and monitor automation results to diagnose failures.
• As project/product test lead, define and maintain the test strategy, coordinate testers and plan, run and document the final integration test.
• Identify improvements in test processes, give management a clear quality status and estimate time and impact based on test coverage.
• Implement quality gates such as unit tests and quality code checks.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, science or information technology, or equivalent; certified ISQTB.
• At least 5 years in a solution quality assurance role.
• Demonstrated experience in test automation and manual testing, and in equipment testing.
• Experience in automotive, aerospace or pharma is a strong plus (equipment mainly).
• Logical, precise, analytical and problem-solving, able to prioritize and work independently.
• Fluent in English.

Required skills

• Selenium and JUnit for test development.
• Java programming knowledge.
• Experience with an automation framework and with GIT.
• 6 Sigma and FMEA experience is a plus (equipment mainly).
