Enterprise Risk Specialist – Operational Risk

About the role

The Enterprise Risk Specialist will support the Risk Management Department in developing and applying operational risk methodologies, policies, and internal regulations. The role focuses on monitoring risk limits, collecting risk data, and assisting senior risk leaders with reporting to internal and regulatory bodies.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and implement operational risk methodologies, policies, and internal regulations in line with group and regulator requirements.
• Monitor operational risk limits according to group rules and the Bank of Albania.
• Collect quantitative and qualitative operational risk data monthly and support classification of this information.
• Provide loss data, scenario analyses, and business environment assessments for the Self‑Diagnosis risk profiling process.
• Analyze trends in operational risk exposure, generate reports, and notify relevant business units.
• Follow up on mitigation actions with the appropriate organizational units.
• Prepare regular reports for the Operational Risk Committee, Board of Directors, Audit Committee, group entities, and domestic regulators.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Risk Management or a related field.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in operational risk within a banking environment.
• Willingness to learn new concepts and strong communication abilities.
• Fluent English; additional language is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Access, PowerPoint).
• Familiarity with core banking systems.
• Experience using reporting systems for risk data.
