AI Solutions Architect (Remote Contractor)

About the role

SPACE44 deploys its AI operations platform, PIPE44, inside client environments and works with organisations to embed AI into their operations. It is looking for an experienced AI Solutions Architect on a remote, contractor basis, part-time to full-time. The role is hands-on delivery: understanding how organisations work, designing AI solutions around their business processes, implementing them through PIPE44 and partnering with clients for long-term value.

Key responsibilities

• Understand how client organisations operate and identify opportunities where AI creates measurable business value.
• Lead discovery sessions and solution design with business stakeholders.
• Design practical AI operating models aligned to each organisation's objectives and ways of working.
• Configure AI agents, knowledge structures and governance within PIPE44.
• Guide organisations through onboarding, implementation and long-term AI adoption.
• Build trusted relationships with business and operational stakeholders.
• Measure AI adoption, solution quality and business outcomes, and identify improvements.
• Partner with Embedded AI Engineers on implementation and delivery.
• Share real-world client challenges and delivery patterns to help evolve PIPE44.

Required profile

• 7+ years of professional experience in solutions architecture, enterprise technology, AI transformation, digital transformation, knowledge management or business process improvement.
• Demonstrated experience working directly with business stakeholders, department leaders or executives.
• Experience designing or implementing AI-enabled business solutions in production environments.
• Understanding of AI governance, knowledge management and responsible AI practices.
• Business-fluent English (written and verbal).
• Comfortable with structured governance, accountability and delivery processes; remote, client-facing experience highly desirable.

Required skills

• Strong practical understanding of Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), AI agents and modern enterprise AI workflows.
• Ability to translate business challenges into practical AI solutions.
• Strong documentation, communication and stakeholder management skills.
