Accounts Payable Accountant

About the role

BizAway is seeking a detail‑oriented Accounts Payable Accountant to join its fast‑growing accounting team. You will play a key part in processing invoices, managing vendor data, and supporting the rollout of a new Purchase Order workflow.

Key responsibilities

• Enter and code accounts payable invoices accurately in the ERP system.
• Maintain vendor master data and respond to payment inquiries.
• Reconcile vendor statements with internal ledgers and resolve discrepancies.
• Assist in preparing payment runs and handling expense reports.
• Support testing and implementation of the upcoming Purchase Order process, shaping related AP controls.
• Organise electronic financial records and ensure proper digital archiving.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Accounts Payable or general accounting, preferably in a fast‑paced or international environment.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Accounting.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and current financial legislation.
• Excellent time‑management, communication and problem‑solving abilities.
• High level of English; Italian is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency with spreadsheet programs (Excel).
• Experience using an ERP system for invoice processing.
• Familiarity with Purchase Order / Procure‑to‑Pay processes.
