Accountant

About the role

The Accountant will manage day‑to‑day financial activities, recording transactions, maintaining the general ledger and preparing routine financial reports. This full‑time, on‑site position in Tirana supports month‑end and year‑end closing, budgeting and financial analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Record financial transactions and maintain general ledger accounts.
• Prepare routine financial reports and assist with month‑end and year‑end closing.
• Reconcile accounts and monitor cash flow.
• Support budgeting, cost tracking and financial analysis for decision‑making.
• Ensure compliance with local accounting standards and tax regulations.
• Collaborate with finance, operations and sales teams and support audits and process improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field; relevant certifications are a plus.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles, general ledger management and financial reporting.
• Experience in account reconciliation, budgeting and basic financial analysis.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy in data entry and ability to meet deadlines.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to work on‑site in Tirana and handle confidential information responsibly.
• Prior experience in manufacturing, metals or industrial sectors is advantageous but not required.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel, including spreadsheets and financial models.
