Accountant – Financial & Tax Operations

About the role

Krka’s Representative office in Tirana is looking for a dedicated Accountant to manage and control all financial and tax accounting activities. You will ensure accurate recording of transactions, timely reporting, and compliance with Albanian legislation.

Key responsibilities

• Organise and control full‑cycle accounting and tax accounting for the Tirana office.
• Ensure timely and correct posting of all transactions in the accounting system.
• Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Prepare tax returns, statistical reports and payroll calculations, and ensure correct tax and mandatory payments.
• Participate in shaping tax and accounting policies and implement related measures.
• Provide management with reliable financial information and analysis.
• Offer methodological assistance to other divisions on accounting, reporting and economic analysis.
• Interact with tax, inspection and audit authorities.

Required profile

• University degree in Accounting, Auditing, Finance or Economics.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting and finance, preferably in an international company.
• Strong knowledge of Albanian tax, labour and related legislation.
• Experience preparing data for tax and state authorities.
• Good understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
• Professional proficiency in English.
