Specialist in the Depository Directorate

About the role

The Depository Directorate provides custodial services for collective investment schemes and licensed pension funds in Albania. The Specialist ensures timely and accurate execution of daily operational tasks in compliance with legal and contractual obligations.

Key responsibilities

• Transmit daily information on fund account movements to the administration company within agreed timelines and formats.
• Provide necessary data for calculating Net Asset Value (NAV) and other key indicators.
• Enter daily transaction data (subscriptions, bank transactions, securities movements, price updates, interest calculations) into the depository system.
• Calculate NAV using the system and prepare reconciled information for the administration company.
• Maintain daily contact with the administration company for information exchange related to NAV calculation.
• Verify that all orders and instructions from the administration comply with legislation and fund rules before forwarding them for execution.
• Report any actions by the administration that conflict with regulations to the supervisor immediately.
• Ensure the shareholder and asset registers are complete, accurate, and regularly updated.
• Identify and report issues that could hinder normal operations and propose procedural improvements.

Required profile

• Higher education degree in economics, preferably a master’s.
• Training in depository operations, securities market, investment analysis, or pension fund management.
• Strong English proficiency, excellent communication and analytical abilities.
• Previous experience in banking, custodial services, investment analysis, or fund management.
• Motivated, responsible, and willing to work beyond regular hours when needed.

Required skills

• Proficiency with depository systems for transaction recording and NAV calculation.
