Senior Bookkeeper – International Finance Team

About the role

ProRecruit is seeking an experienced Senior Bookkeeper to join its international Finance team in Tirane, Albania. The role involves maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month‑end and year‑end close, and ensuring compliance with global accounting standards.

Key responsibilities

• Establish, implement, and improve financial processes, controls, and accounting procedures aligned with international best practices.
• Manage daily bookkeeping activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.
• Handle international payments, multi‑currency transactions, and vendor management.
• Collaborate closely with external accountants, auditors, and tax advisors.
• Prepare monthly financial reports and support month‑end and year‑end closing processes.
• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience.
• Proven experience working in an international company with global vendors and cross‑border payments.
• Experience collaborating with external auditors and accounting firms.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial controls, and reporting processes.
• Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, high‑growth environment.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
