Platform Software Architect

About the role

We are looking for a Platform Software Architect to lead the design and evolution of our core technology platforms. The position is full‑time, based in Tirana with a hybrid work model, and will play a key part in shaping the technical direction of our portfolio companies.

Key responsibilities

• Define and continuously improve the overall platform architecture, selecting appropriate technologies, frameworks and integration patterns.
• Collaborate with engineering teams on solution design, review implementations and ensure compliance with performance, scalability, security and reliability standards.
• Create and maintain architectural documentation, coding and design guidelines.
• Mentor developers on best practices and architectural principles.
• Participate in product roadmap planning, evaluate emerging tools and technologies, and translate business requirements into technical solutions.

Required profile

• Proven experience in software architecture and design of scalable, modular platforms.
• Strong software development background with hands‑on expertise in at least one modern language such as Java, C# or Python.
• Deep knowledge of design patterns and architectural best practices.
• Ability to produce clear technical documentation and communicate complex concepts to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), APIs, microservices and distributed systems, with solid understanding of security, performance and reliability considerations.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Prior experience as a software architect or senior engineer in platform or product development is highly beneficial.
