PHP Developer (Laravel/Symfony) – Durres

About the role

International financial services organization specialized in credit management is seeking a PHP Developer to join its team in Durres. The role focuses on delivering scalable backend solutions and supporting the company’s digital transformation.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain backend applications using PHP 8.1+.
• Create and manage Web APIs and RESTful services with Laravel or Symfony.
• Design and implement micro‑services‑based architectures.
• Manage and optimise MySQL and PostgreSQL databases, ensuring efficient data modelling and performance.
• Integrate with message brokers such as RabbitMQ and Kafka.
• Configure distributed caching solutions, including Redis, to improve performance.
• Develop data access layers using Doctrine or Eloquent ORM.
• Maintain source code repositories and branching strategies with Git.
• Build, maintain and optimise CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions or similar tools.
• Support application deployment and runtime environments with Docker; Kubernetes experience is a plus.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑quality, scalable software solutions.
• Troubleshoot, debug and resolve application and integration issues across distributed environments.

Required profile

• 1‑8 years of professional experience as a PHP developer.
• Excellent knowledge of PHP 8.1 or higher.
• Proven experience with Laravel or Symfony, including building Web APIs and REST services.
• Experience designing micro‑services architectures.
• Strong expertise in relational databases, particularly MySQL and PostgreSQL.
• Solid understanding of data design principles.
• Experience with message brokers such as RabbitMQ and Kafka.
• Familiarity with distributed caching systems like Redis.
• Hands‑on experience with ORM frameworks (Doctrine, Eloquent).
• Advanced knowledge of Git and version‑control workflows.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions or similar).
• Knowledge of containerisation technologies: Docker; Kubernetes is a plus.
• Italian language proficiency at B2 level.
• English language proficiency at C1 level.
