Cloud Security Engineer

About the role

The Cloud Security Engineer works remotely from Albania, designing, implementing and maintaining secure cloud environments for Illyrian Talent’s internal systems and client solutions. You will assess cloud infrastructure for vulnerabilities, configure security controls and support incident response.

Key responsibilities

• Review and harden security across OCI, GCP and Azure platforms.
• Administer compute, storage, operating systems and cloud services, troubleshoot issues and fix misconfigurations.
• Manage cloud networks, security groups, load balancers, WAF and DNS, and tune WAF rules.
• Handle identity and access management, including MFA, privileged access, and Microsoft Entra ID policies.
• Configure Microsoft Defender, Intune, and Purview for data protection, and build security dashboards.
• Support vulnerability management, backup monitoring, disaster‑recovery tests and ITSM incident/change processes.

Required profile

• At least 1 year of experience in cloud, IT infrastructure or security.
• Hands‑on experience with Azure/Microsoft 365, OCI or GCP.
• Basic understanding of IAM, networking and security principles.
• Good communication skills in English and willingness to learn across multiple cloud platforms.
