Junior Accountant / Accounting Assistant

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Junior Accountant/Accounting Assistant to support our finance team in Tirana or Prishtina. The role involves day‑to‑day bookkeeping, invoice processing, and assisting with monthly financial close.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily bookkeeping and accounting activities.
• Process, pay, and track vendor invoices ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Assist with monthly budgeting, expense tracking, and financial reporting.
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Coordinate ACH payments and wire transfers.
• Maintain organized financial records and documentation.
• Support month‑end and periodic closing activities.
• Communicate with internal teams and vendors regarding invoices and payments.

Required profile

• Previous experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or financial reporting.
• Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and financial processes.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good organizational and time‑management skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet multiple deadlines.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Required skills

• Excel proficiency.
• Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., NetSuite or similar ERP).
• Experience with ACH payments and wire transfers.
• Bank reconciliation experience.
• Invoice processing and financial reporting.
