About the role

The Finance Officer will be responsible for the financial administration of the Fundraising Department and the Shkodër project, ensuring proper control of income and expenses, managing compensation schemes and guaranteeing compliance with Albanian legislation and organisational policies.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and monitor the financial performance of fundraising activities, plan and track budgets, and analyse the cost and effectiveness of campaigns.
• Administer compensation schemes and bonuses for fundraising staff.
• Oversee budgeting, implementation and monitoring of the Shkodër project budget, manage cash flow, payments and financial obligations.
• Prepare financial reports and analyses for management, and support procurement processes and resource administration.
• Ensure integrity of accounting records, compliance with internal policies and external regulations, and support internal audits.

Required profile

• University degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics.
• Minimum three years of experience as a finance professional.
• Proven experience in budgeting, financial reporting, analysis and procurement procedures.
• Strong knowledge of Albanian financial legislation and accounting standards.
• Experience preparing tax declarations, payroll and employee benefits.
• Excellent analytical, organisational and written/oral communication skills, including fluent English.
• High professional integrity, strong ethics and ability to maintain confidentiality.
