Humanities Teacher – Geography, History & Business

About the role

Albanian College Tirana (ACT) is seeking a full‑time Humanities Teacher to deliver Geography, History and Business studies to middle‑school students. The role is on‑site in Tirana and follows the International Baccalaureate (IB) framework, emphasizing inquiry‑based and student‑centred learning.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess engaging Humanities lessons aligned with IB standards.
• Design differentiated learning activities that meet diverse student needs.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and school‑wide initiatives.
• Support co‑curricular activities and communicate regularly with families.
• Foster an inclusive classroom environment that encourages critical thinking and global awareness.

Required profile

• Fully certified teaching degree in a relevant field.
• Current police check authorising work with children.
• Experience teaching middle‑school students, preferably in an IB or international school.
• Strong communication skills for instruction, teamwork and family interaction.
• Subject‑matter expertise in History, Geography and/or Business studies.
• Proficiency in English; additional languages are a plus.
• Commitment to inclusive, culturally responsive teaching and continuous professional growth.
