Frontend Desktop Engineer (Remote)

About the role

Tether is looking for a Frontend Desktop Engineer to develop and maintain Keet Desktop, a cross‑platform peer‑to‑peer communications app built with React and running on the Pear runtime. This fully remote position lets you shape the future of decentralized communication.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the Keet Desktop application across macOS, Windows and Linux.
• Implement UI/UX designs and ensure a smooth user experience.
• Optimize performance, including rendering speed and memory management.

Required profile

• Proven experience with React/Preact and modern JavaScript/TypeScript in production‑scale applications.
• Strong competency in state management (Redux, Redux Toolkit, Zustand, or similar).
• Ability to write modular, maintainable, well‑tested code and debug complex front‑end issues.
• Deep interest or experience with P2P technologies or distributed systems.
• Comfortable working in a remote, globally distributed team with good communication skills.
