French Teacher

About the role

Akro Center is seeking a passionate French Teacher to deliver engaging, learner‑centered lessons to students of various ages and proficiency levels. This part‑time, on‑site position involves planning, teaching, and assessing French language courses in a supportive language‑learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and prepare lesson materials that incorporate modern, interactive teaching methods.
• Conduct in‑person French classes for individuals and small groups.
• Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback.
• Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
• Adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse learning styles and needs.
• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and best‑practice sharing.

Required profile

• Strong proficiency in French (near‑native or native level) with clear spoken and written communication.
• Relevant degree in Languages, Education, or a comparable teaching certification.
• Experience in tutoring, education, or language‑center instruction, preferably teaching French.
• Background in teacher training or professional development related to language instruction.
• Ability to design engaging lesson plans using educational technology.
• Excellent organizational skills, reliability, and a commitment to inclusive, learner‑centered teaching.
