About the role

The Hotel Operations Director will lead the daily operational management of the hotel, ensuring seamless coordination across all departments and delivering an outstanding guest experience.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day hotel operations and ensure compliance with hotel standards.
• Coordinate core departments: Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Maintenance, Sales and HR.
• Monitor service quality at every guest touchpoint.
• Control cleanliness, maintenance, presentation and operational readiness of the property.
• Lead operational meetings with department heads to track tasks, issues and objectives.
• Track reservations, occupancy, pricing, revenue and daily performance metrics.
• Manage the operational budget, control costs and optimise expenditures.
• Analyse key performance indicators such as occupancy, revenue, costs, guest satisfaction and staff productivity.
• Handle guest complaints professionally and implement corrective actions.
• Recruit, train, orient and motivate managerial and operational staff.
• Ensure discipline, work ethics and adherence to procedures across the team.
• Develop and enforce standard operating procedures for all hotel departments.
• Collaborate with suppliers, partners and third‑party service providers.
• Monitor inventory, supplies and operational needs.
• Guarantee compliance with safety, hygiene and legal standards.
• Report operational and financial performance to senior management.
• Identify opportunities for service improvement, cost reduction and revenue growth.

Required profile

• University degree in Hotel Management, Tourism, Business, Economics or a related field.
• Previous senior management experience in hospitality (e.g., General Manager, Operations Manager, Hotel Manager).
• Strong leadership, organisational and decision‑making abilities.
• Proven experience in staff management and building effective teams.
• Ability to work under pressure and resolve real‑time operational issues.
• Solid understanding of financial management, budgeting, cost control and revenue optimisation.
• High focus on service quality and guest satisfaction.
• Excellent command of English; additional languages are a plus.
