Director of Business Development

About the role

We are looking for an ambitious, commercially‑driven Director of Business Development to lead sales and growth initiatives across Albania, Kosovo, and North Macedonia. Reporting to the SMS Retail Department, you will convert qualified opportunities into active customers, forge strategic partnerships, and drive regional revenue growth.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a business development strategy aligned with company growth objectives.
• Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities, partnerships, and market expansion projects.
• Manage the full sales cycle from lead acquisition to contract execution, including discovery meetings, proposals, pricing, and negotiations.
• Maintain relationships with key decision‑makers and strategic stakeholders.
• Monitor sales pipeline, forecasts, and revenue targets; ensure accurate reporting.
• Collaborate with Legal, Finance, Operations, Technical, and Compliance teams to deliver seamless customer onboarding.
• Lead, coach, and develop the Business Development team to meet departmental goals.
• Represent the company at conferences, industry events, and networking opportunities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Management, Economics, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Business Development, Enterprise Sales, or Strategic Partnerships.
• At least 2 years of experience managing teams.
• Proven track record of achieving sales and revenue targets.
• Professional proficiency in Albanian and English; additional languages are a plus.
