Accountant – US CPA Firm Client Support

About the role
Middleman is hiring an Accountant to work with a US CPA firm. You will handle the day-to-day accounting for the firm's clients and help close the books each month. The position is based in Prishtina on a hybrid basis, full time, with hours from 10:00 to 19:00 (negotiable).
Key responsibilities
- Record transactions and keep accurate financial records.
- Reconcile bank and credit card accounts.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable.
- Prepare journal entries and support month-end close.
- Prepare financial statements and reports.
- Work with the firm's team and yours to answer questions and resolve issues.
Required profile
- Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
- 2+ years of accounting experience.
- Good written and spoken English.
- Accurate, organised and reliable with deadlines; experience at a CPA or accounting firm is a plus.
Required skills
- Working knowledge of QuickBooks Online.
- Understanding of US accounting principles (US GAAP).
