Accountant – Financial Management and Cost Control

About the role

Eark Shpk is looking for an accountant in Lezhe to manage and follow the financial and accounting processes of the company. The role covers daily expenses, payments, cost control on construction projects and reporting, and works closely with external accountants.

Key responsibilities

• Organise and maintain the company's financial and economic documentation
• Record, check and process purchase and sales invoices, and track payments to suppliers and receipts from clients
• Control bank movements and reconcile them with supporting documents
• Record daily expenses and prepare periodic reports on spending, payments and liabilities
• Keep records of material inflows and outflows in the warehouse and on site, and control their supporting documents
• Track costs of materials, labour, transport and services per construction project, and report differences between planned and actual costs
• Prepare payroll, social security and health insurance documentation with the external accountant and submit it on time
• Work with administrators, engineers, site managers, suppliers and clients, and respect payment deadlines
• Protect the confidentiality of financial information

Required profile

• University degree in finance, accounting, economics or a related field
• Good knowledge of financial administration and economic documentation
• Practical experience recording and checking invoices, payments and expenses
• Organised, accurate, responsible and able to work independently and handle several tasks at once
• Good communication skills and professional integrity
• Experience in construction companies or with active projects is preferred; candidates without construction experience but with strong organisational skills may be considered

Required skills

• Microsoft Excel and Word
• Electronic invoicing and fiscalisation in Albania (preferred)
• Knowledge of construction project documentation and cost tracking (preferred)
