Certified Surgical Tech (Full-Time)

About the role

We are seeking a Certified Surgical Technician to join our operating rooms on a full‑time basis. The successful candidate will assist surgeons, maintain sterile technique, and support infection‑control initiatives while ensuring equipment and instruments are ready for each procedure.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain medical equipment, instruments, sterile drapes, and solutions for surgeries.
• Assist with patient positioning, skin preparation, and transport to the procedure room.
• Pass instruments and supplies to surgeons, perform suturing under supervision, and manage sponge/needle counts.
• Handle specimen preparation, dressing application, and post‑procedure patient transfer.
• Maintain physician preference cards, inventory, and decontamination/sterilization processes.
• Perform safety checks on equipment and supplies before each case.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited surgical technologist program.
• CST certification (or state‑granted equivalent).
• Current BLS certification.
• Preferably 1‑2 years of clinical experience in an operating‑room setting.
• Team‑oriented with the ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) certification.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
• Operating‑room experience, including sterile field setup.
• Knowledge of sterile technique and infection‑control procedures.
• Equipment preparation, instrument handling, and sterilization processes.
