About the role

Pragmatike is looking for a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to lead the design, deployment, and operation of Kubernetes‑based platforms across bare‑metal, virtualised, and on‑premise environments. This fully remote position offers the chance to shape cutting‑edge cloud computing solutions while collaborating with cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

Operate and maintain Linux (Debian/Ubuntu) infrastructure.
Deploy, scale, and manage Kubernetes clusters, handling upgrades, node pools, networking, storage and security hardening.
Automate provisioning and operations using Ansible, Bash/Python and GitOps workflows.
Design and maintain complex networking architecture (VLANs, L2/L3 routing, VPNs, multi‑site connectivity).
Build automated deployment pipelines (PXE boot, Preseed, cloud‑init).
Deploy and sustain observability stacks (Prometheus/Grafana, Loki, ELK, Graylog).
Lead incident response, define SLOs/SLIs and optimise alerting.
Maintain on‑call schedules and develop SOPs.
Coordinate physical maintenance for Policlouds and manage virtualization/orchestration layers (OpenStack, Proxmox, VMware).
Collaborate with development, customer success and other stakeholder teams to improve quality and resource utilisation.

Required profile

Expert‑level, hands‑on experience operating Kubernetes in production.
Strong network engineering background with proven ability to design VLAN, routing and VPN solutions.
Deep Linux systems administration expertise (Debian/Ubuntu).
Experience building automation with Ansible, Bash or Python and Git‑based workflows.
Familiarity with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Loki or Graylog.
Background in virtualization technologies (OpenStack, Proxmox, VMware).
Experience with bare‑metal provisioning and MAAS is a plus.
