IT & Security Team Lead (EMEA Remote)

About the role

Pragmatike is hiring an IT Manager (listed as IT & Security Team Lead) for a fully remote position in the EMEA timezone, with a start date of ASAP. The role supports the company's day-to-day IT operations so employees have the equipment, accounts and technical resources they need, and covers equipment preparation, device configuration, user accounts, access permissions and basic IT support. It is a hands-on operational role lasting 6 months with the possibility of extension.

Key responsibilities

• Own the administration of the SaaS ecosystem (Google Workspace, messaging, collaboration tools, GitHub, password managers, cloud platforms, HR and finance systems)
• Manage the lifecycle of devices on macOS, Windows and Linux, including procurement, configuration, deployment, monitoring and offboarding
• Maintain an inventory of software, hardware, licences, subscriptions, costs and renewal dates
• Own employee provisioning and deprovisioning, SSO configuration, authentication policies, access permissions and regular access reviews
• Manage secure remote access via VPNs and zero-trust solutions, and device and network security controls
• Develop and maintain security policies covering access control, acceptable use, data handling, incident response and vendor risk management
• Set up security monitoring and alerting, coordinate incident response, and run security awareness training and phishing simulations
• Drive compliance with ISO 27001, SOC 2 and NIS2, and prepare security documentation for customer questionnaires
• Evaluate vendor security practices and act as the main point of contact for internal IT issues

Required profile

• 5+ years in IT administration, IT operations, information security or a related field
• At least 2 years owning IT operations and security in a company of about 50-500 employees, ideally cloud, SaaS or infrastructure
• Strong Google Workspace experience (SSO, SAML/OIDC, 2FA, groups, OUs, data protection)
• Device management on macOS, Windows and Linux with MDM or endpoint tools such as Jamf, Kandji or Microsoft Intune
• SCIM provisioning, least-privilege access, access reviews and password management
• VPN, zero-trust, DNS and remote access security
• Experience with at least one security/compliance framework (ISO 27001, SOC 2, NIS2)
• Fluent English; able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Nice to have: CISSP, CISM or ISO 27001 Lead Implementer certification, EDR/SIEM experience, knowledge of confidential computing, and experience in a startup or scale-up
