IT Application Specialist

About the role

We are looking for an IT Application Specialist to provide day‑to‑day support for SAP HCM within Deloitte’s HR systems landscape. The role involves troubleshooting incidents, handling service requests, and collaborating with internal customers and senior consultants to ensure smooth operation of enterprise HR applications.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver first‑line application support for SAP HCM, prioritising tickets in the ServiceNow (or similar) ticketing system.
• Analyse, troubleshoot and resolve incidents and service requests, working closely with functional and technical experts.
• Create, maintain and continuously improve system documentation and knowledge‑base articles.
• Execute operational procedures, including daily, weekly, monthly and annual system checks to guarantee stability and compliance.
• Monitor cross‑system interfaces, ensuring data accuracy and overall HR data quality.
• Support reporting and data‑analysis activities to provide reliable insights.
• Identify improvement opportunities in support processes and contribute to operational‑excellence initiatives.

Required profile

• 1–2 years of experience supporting enterprise IT applications, ticket handling and customer interaction.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills in English.
• Service‑oriented mindset with a focus on quality and continuous improvement.

Required skills

• Experience with SAP ERP, preferably SAP HCM.
• Familiarity with ITSM/ticketing tools such as ServiceNow.
• Understanding of SAP HCM modules (Personnel Administration, Organizational Management, Payroll integrations).
