About the role

Join BairesDev as a Google Cloud Platform Architect and lead AI‑driven modernization of legacy mainframe applications. You will translate COBOL‑based systems into modern Java, Go, or .NET solutions on GCP, working directly with client stakeholders in a consulting environment.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and drive application modernization initiatives, re‑architecting legacy and mainframe‑class systems for GCP.
• Design and implement data architecture solutions on GCP, including BigQuery and analytics pipelines.
• Communicate business criticality of legacy systems to client stakeholders and translate requirements into technical designs.
• Collaborate with distributed engineering teams within a fully GCP‑based environment.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience in cloud architecture, specifically with Google Cloud Platform.
• Proven track record in modernizing legacy or mainframe applications using Java, Go, or .NET.
• Strong background in data architecture on GCP (BigQuery, pipelines).
• Consulting or professional services experience with client‑facing delivery.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
