Financial Officer

About the role

The Environmental and Territorial Management Institute (ETMI) is seeking a Financial Officer to strengthen its financial management capacity. The role will ensure sound accounting, budgeting, and compliance across donor‑funded projects, supporting transparency and efficient use of resources.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date financial records in accordance with Albanian legislation and donor requirements.
• Record all financial transactions, including income, expenditures, and accruals.
• Prepare periodic financial reports (monthly, quarterly, annual) and donor‑specific reports for EU‑funded projects.
• Support the preparation of financial statements and audit reports.
• Assist with annual audit preparation and compliance with national tax reporting requirements.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field.
• 3‑5 years of experience managing donor‑funded projects, preferably EU‑funded.
• Proven experience working in NGOs or international organisations.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of Albanian financial legislation and donor compliance.
• Ability to prepare periodic and donor‑specific financial reports.
• Proficiency in accounting processes and audit preparation.
